5 Tips to Transform Your Social Media

To many people, growing your social media is viewed as black magic. Those businesses you see with engaging content, regular postings and visible customer engagement may seem like a tough act to follow. Trying to imitate them, may have resulted in failures that make you want to scream.

Transform Your Social Media

At iCandy Design we provide social media marketing services to businesses of all shapes and sizes. Over the years we’ve learnt a thing or two about growing a social media account and in this blog we’re going to show you how to transform your social media from a lifeless corpse into a ferocious werewolf!

1. Craft Unique Content

Discover the value of content marketing and how the benefits for your business cannot be overstated. Researching the keywords and content that are meaningful to your customers and building a content strategy around that is the number one way to organically grow your social media following.

2. Post Regularly

You need to find the right balance as you grow your social media profile. You need to post regularly but if you post too much, you risk scaring your audience off, which will manifest in people unfollowing your page. Conduct experiments on what works best for your customers – is it multiple times a week or multiple times a day? Different audiences and social platforms have different requirements so learning what works for you is important.

3. Use Striking Images

According to Buffer, tweets with images have, on average, 150% more retweets than tweets that don’t. Images catch the eye of users as they’re scrolling through their feeds and encourage them to stop and check the content. These precious few moments where they’re reading your content allow you to capture their attention and encourage them to engage with your brand.

4. Encourage Your Readers to Interact

Nothing encourages users more than asking them to engage! Use direct call to actions such as “Like and Subscribe!” or “What do you think? Leave your comments below!” to engage with your consumers and show that you value their feedback. Consumers will be far more likely to share a post if you ask them to.

5. Quickly Respond to Comments

If a customer takes the time to leave a comment on your social media account, responding quickly will engage that customer with your brand and give you the opportunity to represent your business in a positive fashion. Being pro-active when responding to social media comments will allow you the opportunity to turn any negative comments into a positive. Displaying empathy and enthusiasm towards your customers will allow you to resolve any issue quickly and effectively, giving a better customer experience.
