Contented driven digital marketing can be both exciting and challenging, presenting many opportunities for businesses to grow.
In order to achieve this however, takes time and effort. This should be done by someone who is a trained specialist, knowing which channels to prioritise in order to suit your business requirements.
How do businesses manage marketing?
Based on a recent survey of 200 marketers, comparing 2015 marketing statistics with 2016 we can gain an insight into how businesses choose to outsource to their marketing agencies.
It is evident that the majority of respondents rely on a healthy mix of digital, offline and mobile channels to stay current and in front of their consumers.
This does not mean an equal balance between all platforms is the right way for all businesses. It is about tailoring a marketing plan for your business to suit the requirements of the consumer.
Most favoured online channel… Email Marketing
The survey showed that 76% of respondents would be investing in email marketing in 2016. An increase of 13% more than 2015.
According to a survey by Radicati in 2015, there were 2.6 billion active email accounts. It is predicted that by 2019, this will rise to 2.9 billion.
This presents more opportunities for your business. Email marketing is a great marketing tool to put across ideas in a fun, snappy way, building a relationship with a wider audience.
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)
Although SEO is not yet at the top of the board, it has had one of the biggest increases from 2015 (+10%). This suggests that businesses are realising the impact this has. White hat SEO will create leads and help drive traffic to your website.
First impressions are crucial and a poor website can influence a user’s opinion of your company.Three quarters of online users admit they decide on a businesses credibility based on a website design, reflecting the importance of a functional, user friendly website. This resulted in a 7% increase during 2016 of businesses outsourcing the development of their websites to marketing agencies.

Marketing agencies provide a solid platform for businesses to promote their products and services. A good marketing agency will work with your business to prioritise and plan the right tools & techniques in order to appeal to the right audience and grow your business.
